JEE Main 2020: 82 percent students appear for day 3 examination

NEW DELHI : National Testing Agency (NTA) is steadily conducting JEE Main examination in spite of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While there were doubts regarding whether the examination will be held in a safe manner or not, the positive reviews by students who attempted the examination and growing number of aspirants each day has invoked mixed reactions and reports. Day 1 of JEE Main (Paper 2) saw 54.67 percent of students attending the examination while Day 3 Paper 1, which was held today, witnessed 82.14 percent attendance.

Earlier, many cities had reported less attendance by students for JEE Main . However, the statistics released have indicated a strong increase in the percentage of applicants attempting the JEE Main exam.
JEE Main 2020: The Journey So Far
JEE Main 2020 April/September commenced on September 1 with Paper 2. The examination for Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) is being conducted from September 2 to 6, 2020. During the exam, JEE Main student reactions have shown that the examination was held smoothly and all COVID SOPs were followed at the centre . According to the students, the centres provided sanitizers and new masks and social distancing was maintained at all times. NTA had also provided a dress code for JEE Main students in which footwears with thick soles and garments with large buttons were prohibited.
