JEE Main 2020 Admit Card Release Delayed; NTA to announce soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in

NEW DELHI: JEE Main admit card release is delayed. National Testing Agency was expected to release the JEE Main admit card on August 15 but has not done so. What is the JEE Main admit card release date and time now? NTA is now expected to announce the JEE Main admit card release on August 17 as per reports. JEE Main 2020 exam dates are September 1 to 6.

NTA has released the admit card and given two links to download. The JEE Main admit card now has an undertaking by students, COVID-19 safety guidelines and is a 4 page pdf. The JEE Main admit crad release date is August 17, 15 days before the exam as announced by NTA.

JEE Main 2020 admit card will be released on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in as well as the NTA’s official website nta.ac.in. JEE Main admit card download will be facilitated through the candidate login where students have to enter their application number as well as password or date of birth. The provision to retrieve the password and application number is also provided with the JEE Main admit card download link in case students have forgotten their credentials.

The JEE Main 2020 official notification goes,” The dates of downloading of Admit Cards indicating Roll Number and Centre of Examination will be displayed 15 days before the conduct off the examination on the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and JEE (Main) (jeemain.nta.nic.in)."

The delay in the release of JEE Main 2020 admit card is attributed to the PILs filed in the courts; some for postponement and some for holding the JEE Main exam as scheduled in September. The first of these cases is coming up for hearing on August 17.

Against postponement of JEE Main

• August 14 - A group of parents have moved SC to prevent further postponement.
• August 9, a Gujarat parents’ group asks the court to hold NEET, JEE Main 2020 in Sept.

For postponement of JEE Main 2020 exam

• August 6 - 11 students file a PIL asking for postponement of the JEE Main exam. The hearing is scheduled on August 17 in the Supreme Court.
• August 14 - The India Wide Parents Association approaches the Ministry of Education for postponement

NTA is shortly expected to make an announcement on the JEE Main admit card dates. JEE Main is the national level entrance test for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programmes at 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 GFTIs.
