NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the JEE Main 3rd session 2021 shift 1 exam on July 27, 2021. According to the schedule, shift 1 of the JEE Main 2021 3rd session exam started at 9 AM and ended at 12 PM. All the COVID-19 instructions as per the JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines were followed at the exam centres. According to students’ reaction, the difficulty level of JEE Main 2021 for July 27 shift 1 was moderate.

Thirty questions from each section (physics, chemistry and mathematics) were asked from various topics. The 30 questions in each section were segregated into 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and 10 integer type questions. Mathematics – As per the experts, Mathematic section on July 27 shift 1 was Moderate in difficulty level. The questions asked in Mathematics section were from Calculus & Algebra, Vectors, Matrices, Probability, 3 D Geometry, Complex numbers in Algebra and others. Applicants reported Numerical Section lengthy and tricky.
Physics - The Physics section asked in JEE Main 2021 July 27 shift 1 was easy to moderate in difficulty level. The questions were asked from Electrostatics, Magnetism, Current Electricity, AC Circuits and others. The Physics section was well balanced and questions were asked from NCERT.
Chemistry: As per the experts, the Chemistry section as moderate in difficulty level. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical & Organic Chemistry. There were questions from Solid state apart from Coordination Chemistry. Few students felt Numerical Based questions were tricky.

Physics - As per the students reaction, the physics section was moderate in difficulty level.
Chemistry - Students find the Chemistry section easy. The questions asked from polymers, chemistry in everyday life, biomolecules and others.
Mathematics - The Maths was moderately tough and tricky. The questions asked in the Mathematics section were quite lengthy. As compared to July 25 shift 2, the Maths section was moderately challenging.

The NTA conducts JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan degree programmes offered by the participating institutes. NTA announced that it will conduct the JEE Main exam 2021 in four sessions - February, March, April, and May. JEE Main February and March attempts were successfully conducted while April and May sessions were postponed. Now, as per the new JEE Main exam dates, JEE Main 3rd session exam dates are July 20, 22, 25, and 27, 2021. The authorities will conduct the 4th session of JEE Main 2021 on August 26, 27, 31, September 1 and 2.
