NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session 2 day 3 shift 2 exam. According to the students, JEE Main shift-2 for April 10 difficulty level was overall easy. The JEE Main 2023 session 2 April 10 exam was held for a duration of 3 hours from 9 am to 12 noon. NTA has released the JEE Main 2023 session-2 April 12 admit card on the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. In regards to difficulty level, maths was moderate, physics was easy , and chemistry was reported easy to moderate. Overall, The JEE Main April 10 shift-2 paper was moderate level as per students.

JEE Main 2023 April 10 question paper subject-wise analysis

According to Ramesh Batlish, Managing Partner and Centre Head-FIITJEE Noida-

  • Mathematics – The Mathematics section was easy to moderate level. The paper gave weightage to chapters of conic sections and calculus. Frequently asked questions were from- matrices, vectors, 3D geometry, ellipse, circle, parabola, binomial theorem, progressions, functions, AOD, areas, differential equation. Both MCQs and numerical-based questions needed lengthy calculations. According to students, This section was tricky.
  • Physics – The physics section was easy, as per students. Weightage given to chapters- kinematics, laws of motion, rotational motion, magnetism, SHM and waves, electrostatics, current electricity, ray optics, wave optics, semiconductors and modern physics. The numerical-based questions were easy, said FITJEE Noida center head. Chapters of 12 Class had more weightage.
  • Chemistry – The Chemistry section was easy to moderate level. Inorganic and physical chemistry was given more weightage as compared to organic chemistry. Questions were asked from amines, aldehydes and ketones, polymers, alcohols, ethers and phenols, aryl and alkyl halides in organic chemistry. Ionic equilibrium, solid state, surface chemistry, coordination compounds, mole concept, electrochemistry, atomic structure, chemical kinetics. Inorganic chemistry had questions from p-block and d-block, ores and metallurgy.

The exam is being conducted for admission into undergraduate engineering and architecture courses at participating institutes of the country, which include National institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
