NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded shift 1 of day 2 the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 for the BTech and BE paper today, January 25, 2023. The JEE Main 2023 shift 1 was held from 9 AM to 12 PM. The JEE Main 2023 question paper was similar to last year.

Most asked topics in JEE Main 2023 in Math were-Algebra and Calculus; Physics- Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Carnot Engine, Work, Power and Energy, Simple Harmonic Motion, Ray Optics, Capacitance, Magnetism, Semi-Conductors, Communication Systems, Modern Physics, Centre of Mass, Electrostatics; Chemistry- Organic Chemistry had questions from Aldehydes and Ketones, Amines, Carboxylic Acids, Phenols and General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic had questions from Co-ordination Compounds, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Group-18.

According to FITJEE Noida, Centre head, Ramesh Batlish, the JEE Main 2023 question paper covered almost all chapters of class 11, 12 CBSE syllabus. JEE students said that the paper had a balanced coverage of all chapters and that the paper was similar to last year.

The mathematics section was considered to be moderate in difficulty level; physics was considered to be easy while Chemistry was moderate. As compared to last year, the JEE Main 2023 question paper was similar in difficulty level.
Today's JEE mains exam analysis by Vidyamandir Classes (VMC), chief academics officer (CAO), Saurabh Kumar, stated that the JEE Main 2023 day 2 shift 1 paper was similar to 2022. The maths section was tough, The chemistry section was was less from NECRT syllabus this time and had more physical. Meanwhile, Physics was more formula based. Both physics and chemistry had assertions and reasoning.
The NTA will be conducting the JEE Main 2023 BE and Tech papers on January 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, in two shifts on all exam days. The JEE Main 2023 BArch and BPlanning exams will be on January 28, 2023 in a single shift.
