The next JEE Main 2023 exam will be held on January 28 for paper 2, BArch and BPlanning (Paper 2A and Paper 2B). The JEE Main 2023 paper 2 will be held in the second shift for 3 hours and 30 minutes duration, 3 PM to 6.30 PM. Candidates appearing for the paper 2 exam on Saturday will be able to download the JEE Mains admit card 2023 from jeemain.nta.nic.in.

According to FIITJEE analysis of JEE Main 2023 day 2 shift 1,
Moderately Tough Level. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on Chapters of Algebra & Calculus. Questions asked from Matrices, Determinants, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Differentiation, Definite Integrals, Area under Curves, Hyperbola & Circle. The Numerical Section had lengthy calculations. Few questions in MCQs were reported as Tricky & Lengthy.
Easy. Questions were asked from Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Carnot Engine, Work ,Power & Energy, Simple Harmonic Motion, Ray Optics, Capacitance, Magnetism, Semi-Conductors , Communication Systems, Modern Physics, Centre of Mass, Electrostatics. Numerical based questions were easy. Overall, the students felt this section was Balanced and Easy.
Easy to Moderate level. Organic & Inorganic Chemistry had questions directly from NCERT Books. Less weightage given to Physical Chemistry that too in Numerical Section. In Physical Chemistry questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Solutions, Ores & Metallurgy and Atomic Structure. Organic Chemistry had questions from Aldehydes & Ketones, Amines, Carboxylic Acids, Phenols and General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic had questions from Co-ordination Compounds, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Group-18. Few questions from Organic Chemistry were reported slightly tricky.

The JEE Main 2023 admit card for January 28 exam is out. To download the JEE Main 2023 admit card, candidates need to log in with their application number and dates of birth. For exams set to be held on later dates, NTA website says: "Your admit card not allotted till yet. Will be intimated later."
As per the JEE Main 2023 official notice, there is no specified dress code to be followed for the JEE Main exam 2023. However, applicants are not allowed to carry any metallic objects into the exam hall. They should avoid wearing any piece of jewelry, watch, or any other gadgets and ornaments in to the JEE Main exam centre.

The NTA has relaxed the 75 percent eligibility criteria. According to an official notification, students who have scored 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to the NITs, IIITs and such other CFTIs.
As per NTA JEE Main 2023 time table, the exam will be held in two session- January and April 2023. The JEE Main January session will be held between January 24 and February 1, 2023, and the JEE Main April session will be held from April 6 to April 12, 2023.

Candidates scoring the best percentile in JEE Main 2023 BArch paper will be able to take admission in the following institutes.
In the JEE Main Paper 2A- BArch, part 1 will be mathematics section and part 2 is aptitude test. BArch question paper will be in computer based test (CBT) mode while part 3, drawing test, will be conducted offline in pen and paper based mode. About 82 questions for a total of 400 marks will be asked in this section. As per the JEE Main 2023 information brochure, 20 questions will be MCQs and 5 (five) questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value. In terms of order of difficulty – Mathematics was Moderate, Chemistry was Easy to Moderate, and Physics was reported Easy among the three subjects. Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.
According to FIITJEE, the level of difficulty as per feedback from students on January 25, 2023 (afternoon session).
Mathematics – Moderate. Weightage was given to chapters of Calculus and Algebra. In Algebra- questions asked from Permutation and Combination, Progression and Series, Statistics, Complex Number, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Determinants, Vectors & 3D Geometry. In Calculus – Limits & Continuity, Application of Derivatives, Area, Differential Equations, Definite Integral & Functions. In Co-ordinate Geometry questions asked from Straight Lines, Circles & Hyperbola. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was also Lengthy as per students.
Physics – Easy level. Questions were asked from almost all chapters with few good questions from Gravitation, Rotational Motion, Work, Power & Energy, Wave Optics, Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Units & Dimensions, Semiconductors, Magnetism, Kinematics, Heat & Thermodynamics. Numerical-based questions were easy. It was a balanced section.
Chemistry – Easy to Moderate level. Weightage was given to Inorganic & Organic Chemistry. In Physical Chemistry questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Atomic Structure. Organic Chemistry had questions from Amines, Aldehyde & Ketones, Phenols, General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry was mostly from NCERT. Overall, this section was Easy to Moderate.
There was a total of 90 questions and the total marks for JEE Main Paper 1 was 300. 5 out of 10 questions were to be attempted from the Numerical based section in each subject. The paper had three parts and each part had two sections:
Part 1- Physics had a total of 30 questions – Section 1 had 20 multiple-choice questions with single correct answers and Section 2 had 10 Numerical based questions out of which only 5 had to be attempted. Overall students found Maths papers very lengthy but not difficult. The order of difficulty subject-wise is Mathematics = Chemistry > Physics.
Mathematics: Mathematics paper was calculative and lengthy. Questions were spread around Calculus, Co-ordinate Geometry, 3D and Algebra. Around 4 to 5 questions were from Calculus, 3 to 4 questions from Co-ordinate Geometry and Binomial Theorem. Students were able to attempt question practice through mock tests holds the key.
Chemistry: Overall paper was of a moderate level. Study of NCERT books and mock tests based on NCERT holds the key to getting good marks. Physical Chemistry questions were fewer as compared to Organic Chemistry. Questions from chapters like Co-ordination Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, Redox reactions, Chemical Kinetics, Hydrocarbon and Aldehyde and Ketones were there while questions from chapter Chemistry in Every-day life were conspicuously absent.
JEE Main 2023 physics analysis
According to a large number of students Physics part was easy. Questions were spread in all topics like Mechanics, Waves and Modern Physics. The optics part had less contribution in this shift. Match-type questions were also there. The paper was formula based and students were able to do questions easily.
According to Ajay Sharma, National Academic Director, Engineering, Aakash BYJU'S, "Just following yesterday’s trend overall paper was easy to moderate. Good students were able to complete the paper in a given stipulated time. Doing previous year's questions and attempting similar tests should fetch good marks."

1. If a candidate failed to appear on the scheduled date or time of the test for any reason, no re-test will be conducted by the NTA under any circumstances.

33.6 percent seats were not filled in undergraduate engineering colleges in the academic year 2021-22, minister of state for education Subhas Sarkar told the Rajya Sabha.

Candidates who wish to get admission into the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs are required to apply and qualify the JEE Main exam 2023. However, aspirants seeking BTech admission into IITs are also required to appear for the JEE Main exam and be in the top 2,50,000 qualifiers to be eligible for Advanced.
NTA revised the 75% eligibility criteria. Students who have scored 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to NITs and the IITs and to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

Check NTA tie-breaking policy for how tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in JEE Main 2023 paper 1 (BE, BTech) will be resolved.
To prevent cheating in the exam, the NTA has warned students that they may be debarred for 3 years in the future if found to have used unfair practices in the JEE Main 2023 exam. Those involved in cheating will also be “booked under the “Unfair Means” (UFM) case and shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit”.

JEE Main 2023 is being conducted on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1.
The self declaration form JEE Main 2023 is attached with the JEE Main hall ticket 2023. Details including candidates’ names, JEE Main 2023 application form numbers, test centres and dates of exam will have to be filled in the self-declaration form JEE Main 2023. The candidate will also have to mention any symptoms of cold, cough, runny nose or fever.
