The JEE Main 2024 session 2 BE, BTech papers is scheduled to be held from April 4 to 9, while the BArch exam will be conducted on April 12. Meanwhile, the NTA has issued the JEE Main 2024 admit card for papers 1 and 2 at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the national-level engineering entrance exam in two shifts. The testing agency has asked aspirants; especially those who did not apply through DigiLocker and ABC ID, to reach the exam centre an hour before the entry time for verification purposes. Those who have opted for authentication through non-Aadhaar have also been asked to reach the exam centre an hour before the test.

The Numerical Section had lengthy calculations from chapters of Calculus & Coordinate Geometry. A few questions were reported as Lengthy &Tricky. Few students reported Errors in 2 questions with insufficient data.
Physics – Easy . Questions were asked from Kinematics, Gravitation- 2 ques, Rotational Motion-2 ques, Laws of Motion, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Capacitance, Electromagnetic Induction, AC Circuits, Modern Physics, Work Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics. Some fact-based questions from NCERT were asked.
In terms of order of Difficulty –Mathematics was Moderately Tough while Physics & Chemistry were Easy . Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.

JEE Main day 2 shift 1 exam commenced at 9 am. The paper will end after 3 hours, at 12 pm.
The entry gates for JEE Main Aprill 5 shift 1 exam closed 30 minutes prior to the exam, at 8:30 am. All candidates can log in to read instructions at 8:50 am.
The JEE Main paper 2A for BArch and paper 2B for BPlanning will be held in the morning shift on April 12. Paper 2 exams will be given 30 minutes extra time compared to BTech exam timings. Students will be appearing between 9 am to 12.30 pm.
A total of 12.57 lakh candidates have registered to appear for JEE Main session 2 exams. The number of registered candidates have slightly increased compared to session 1, wherein 12,31,874 candidates applied for the exam. Several students have opted to appear for both the sessions to improve their score, the NTA data showed.
The NTA will allow candidates to enter the exam centre from 7:30 am. The test centre officials will verify the admit card, photo ID and frisk candidates to check if they are carrying any prohibited items. The entry into the exam centre will be closed at 8:30 am.
Candidates who have not opted for DigiLocker ID or ABC ID for registration login have been advised to reach exam centre an hour before the exam timing.
Those who have opted for non-Aadhaar authentication will also have to reach the exam centre an hour before the exam.

Questions from prominent chapters like Chemical Kinetics, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers, Electrochemistry, and Thermodynamics were asked. P-Block chemistry was dominant in the paper. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. Among the 11th and 12th classes, more number of questions were asked from 12th class syllabus. The paper was by and large based on NCERT books.
Physics: The physics part was on the easier side and questions from almost all the chapters were asked. Questions from Modern Physics, Mechanics, Electrostatics and Current electricity were there in the paper. The coverage of the questions was almost equal with more number of questions asked from the 12th class.
Mathematics: The mathematics paper was moderate to difficult level. A good number of questions were asked from Calculus. Integer-type questions were lengthy in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered. The main thing is questions were both lengthy and calculative which took a lot of time to solve.

Some questions were directly asked from NCERT Textbook, which made this section Easy.
In terms of order of Difficulty – Mathematics was Moderate while Physics & Chemistry were Easy . Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.
A JEE Main score of 120 or higher is generally considered good, corresponding to a rank range of 15,000 to 35,000. With this score, candidates can secure admission to top NITs and IITs.
According to the analysis provided, scoring 170 marks corresponds to a percentile of 98.85 or higher, which is considered a very good percentile.
With a percentile of 97, you have a good chance of securing admission to the top branches in average NITs or the lower branches of top NITs.
