NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2024) shift 1 BTech paper from 9 am to 12 pm. As per the initial student reactions, the JEE Main Jan 27 shift 1 was easy to moderate in difficulty level. JEE Main 2024 Jan 27 Live

The JEE Main paper 1 had both multiple-choice questions and numerical questions. Students were given an option to attempt five out the 10 questions in section B. Mathematics was moderately difficult compared to physics and chemistry, students told Careers360.

Students said that more weightage was given to Class 12 subjects and there were a few fact-based questions from Class 12 NCERT textbooks.

JEE Main 2024 Jan 27 shift 1 analysis

The JEE Main 2024 question paper had a total of 30 questions in each section. Of these, 20 questions were multiple-choice type, while the remaining 10 were of the integer type. Here’s the subject-wise details of the number of questions from important topics.
