JEE Main 2024 January 30 shift 2 begins; exam guidelines, things to carry

NEW DELHI- The National Testing Agency has commenced the Joint Entrance Examination-Main 2024 shift 2. The shift 2 will conclude at 6 PM. The exam will be held for 3 hours and will comprise subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for BTech aspirants.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern

There will be a total of 90 questions of 100 marks. Candidates will secure 4 marks for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
JEE Main 2024 question paper will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical value questions.

JEE Main 2024 Exam day guidelines

Students currently appearing for the JEE Main 2024 exam are expected to follow the following guidelines.

• Candidates should arrive at the exam venue by the reporting time specified for the JEE Mains exam.
• Students will not be allowed entry into the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after the gate closing time. Also, no permission to leave the exam centre premises will be considered before the exam concludes.
• Candidates who wear special attire due to religious reasons are advised to arrive at the exam centres earlier for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
• Students must carry the admit card of JEE Main 2024, address proof for JEE Mains, along with all the required documents to the exam centre.
• Before reaching the JEE Main exam centres, candidates must fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the provided space.
• Candidates must strictly follow the rules and regulations.
• Read the provided instructions before the commencement of the exam.
• A Pen/Pencil and blank paper of rough work will be provided in the examination hall.
• Candidates need to ensure that their left thumb impression should be clear and not smudge on the attendance sheet.
• Candidates claiming PwD reservation must carry a PwD certificate and ID proof for JEE Main exam issued by the competent authority to the exam centre.

JEE Main 2024 dress code

Students currently appearing for the JEE Main 2024 exam are expected to follow the following dress code.

• Carrying any metallic items into the exam hall is prohibited.
• To avoid touching any unwanted surface with their skin, candidates are advised to wear clothes that cover their arms and legs completely.
• During the JEE Main 2024 examination, students are not allowed to cover their head or face.
• Clothing with large buttons, brooches, or any other noticeable accessories should be avoided for the exam.
• Candidates should avoid wearing any jewelry, watches or other accessories during the exam.
