While the chemistry section in the JEE Main 2025 April 2 shift 2 question paper moderate with more weightage to physical chemistry, the physics section was easy to moderate in difficulty level. Candidates found the mathematics section lengthy but still easier in comparison to JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams. However, the JEE Main 2025 session 2 day 1 shift 2 turned out to be tougher than last year's exam.
While the overall JEE Main 2025 April 2 shift 2 paper was similar to the JEE Main 2025 April 2 shift 1 exam, the difficulty level was highest for chemistry, followed by mathematics and physics. The physics and math questions were tricky but chemistry questions were tough.

Physics
The overall difficulty level of the physics section was "easy to moderate”. The exam was easy in comparison to the morning shift and session 1.

Chemistry
The difficulty level of today’s JEE Main 2025 shift 2 chemistry section is moderate to tough. The paper was comparatively difficult from shift 1, January session, as well as last year’s exam.
