The JEE Main 2025 session 2 mathematics section ranged from moderate to difficult, with some questions being lengthy and time-consuming. Topics such as Matrices, Permutations & Combinations, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Conic Sections, and Calculus were prominently featured. While the overall difficulty level was not excessively high, certain questions were both difficult and lengthy, making this section the most challenging.

The Chemistry section was rated easy by most students. Almost all chapters were covered, with Organic and Physical Chemistry being dominant, while Inorganic Chemistry had very few questions. Most theoretical questions were directly based on NCERT, making the section straightforward and scoring.

Students, who appeared for the JEE Main 2025 April session shift 2 today, found the Physics section to be of moderate difficulty, with a majority of the questions being numerical. While, some questions were calculative and slightly time-consuming, many theoretical questions were also included.
As per the subject experts, the topic distribution was fairly balanced, covering key areas such as Mechanics, Electrostatics, Optics, and Units & Measurements. However, Modern Physics, Thermodynamics, Waves, and Magnetism had fewer questions, and there were no questions from the EMI and AC chapters.

Ajay Sharma, national academic director, engineering, Aakash educational services, has released analysis of the JEE Main April 2 shift 2 question paper. As per the subject expert, the JEE Main paper was rated as moderate in overall difficulty. This session featured a well-structured and balanced paper. "Among the three sections, Chemistry was the easiest, Physics was of moderate difficulty, and Mathematics was the most challenging. While the distribution of questions across topics was generally balanced, some chapters were more prominent than others," he added.

The class 12th Question was more in the class 11th. Chemistry is relatively hard relative to maths and physics. Physics and math questions were tricky. The chemistry paper was moderate to tough as questions were not on predictable lines. A few assertion and reason-type questions were asked.

As per the student's feedback, the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 April 2 paper for shift 1 was easy as compared to JEE Mains January paper. The maths section was moderately difficult and questions from the chemistry and physics section were tricky. 

According to subject experts from AAKASH INVICTUS, the questions covered almost all chapters of Classes 11 and 12 from CBSE Board. Students felt the paper was well-balanced but lengthy.

Numerical based questions were easy. Additionally, a few fact-based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were also asked.

In the JEE Mains BE, BTech shift 1 question paper, section B in chemistry had more questions from physical chemistry. Two questions from unit and dimensions, which is a “basic chapter” in mathematics, students said. In the physics section, optics questions required too many calculations.

As per the student's reaction, the JEE Main April 1 shift 1 maths paper was a bit easier, less lengthy in comparison to the January paper. However,  physics, chemistry sections were moderately difficult.

The cutoff of JEE Main 2025 will be released only after results are declared for JEE Main 2025 session 2 result. . The expected cutoff for the General category candidates is 95+, 83+ for OBC, 85+ for EWS, 65+ for SC, and 50+ for ST.

The JEE Mains 2025 April 2 shift 1 paper will be over at 12 noon. The JEE Mains 2025 session 2 April 2 shift 2 paper will begin at 3 pm. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam begins. 

Candidates who are appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 exam will be able to check their answers using the unofficial answer keys released by various coaching centre experts after the JEE Mains 2025 April 2 shift 1 exam is over. Candidates can find unofficial answer keys and question papers with solutions available online. 

Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 exams on April 3 and 4 can download the admit cards through the official website jeemian.nta.nic.in. 

How to download the JEE Main Session 2 admit card?

• Visit the NTA JEE Main 2025 admit card official JEE Main website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Click on the link for the JEE Mains admit card.
• Log in using your JEE Mains application number and password.
• The JEE Main admit card will be displayed on the screen.
• Download and print the admit card.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided the links for the JEE Main 2025 mock test on the official website, nta.ac.in. Students preparing for JEE Mains can check the mock test while preparing for the exam. The JEE Mains mock tests will help students evaluate their level of preparation for the JEE Main exam and also improve their time management skills.

Candidates belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) category can easily secure a seat for computer science and engineering programme at NIT in their homeland as compared to last few years. However, competition is tough for those who are crossing boundaries. The highest rank an EWS candidate had to score to land a BTech CSE seat in an NIT in the last three years has been recorded at 170 at NIT Tiruchirappalli for candidates outside Tamil Nadu.

The NIT Andhra Pradesh closing rank for the JEE Main exam for previous years is shown in the table below. 

Candidates belonging to the specific category will be eligible to get admission based on the reservation criteria of JEE Main 2025.

NTA has started the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 exam at 9 am today. The exam will get over at 12 pm. The shift 2 exam will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre for shift 2 exam at least one hour before the exam ends. 

Candidates have to carry the admit card of JEE Main 2025, address proof for JEE Mains along with all the other documents to the exam centre. Candidates who do not have the NTA JEE Mains hall ticket 2025 will not be permitted to take the exam under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent. Candidates are advised to duly fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the space provided before reaching the JEE Main exam centre.

Students appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 exam are advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam ends. Students are not allowed to enter the exam hall after the gate closing time and cannot leave the exam centre before the JEE Mains paper concludes.

Engineering aspirants can download their JEE Main 2025 session 2 admit card by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have to use their login details, such as application number and password, to download their JEE Main admit card 2025.

NTA has not issued specific guidelines for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 dress code. However, students should wear simple clothing and avoid caps, scarves, accessories, electronic devices, jeans, or outfits with multiple pockets or metallic items, as these are prohibited in the exam hall.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam from today, April 2. The JEE Main April 2 exam will be conducted in two shifts.
