The JEE Main 2025 session 2 mathematics section ranged from moderate to difficult, with some questions being lengthy and time-consuming. Topics such as Matrices, Permutations & Combinations, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Conic Sections, and Calculus were prominently featured. While the overall difficulty level was not excessively high, certain questions were both difficult and lengthy, making this section the most challenging.
The Chemistry section was rated easy by most students. Almost all chapters were covered, with Organic and Physical Chemistry being dominant, while Inorganic Chemistry had very few questions. Most theoretical questions were directly based on NCERT, making the section straightforward and scoring.
Students, who appeared for the JEE Main 2025 April session shift 2 today, found the Physics section to be of moderate difficulty, with a majority of the questions being numerical. While, some questions were calculative and slightly time-consuming, many theoretical questions were also included.

The numerical portion was lengthy. Organic questions are mixed with physical concept.

As per the student's reaction, the JEE Main April 1 shift 1 maths paper was a bit easier, less lengthy in comparison to the January paper. However, physics, chemistry sections were moderately difficult.

NTA has started the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 exam at 9 am today. The exam will get over at 12 pm. The shift 2 exam will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre for shift 2 exam at least one hour before the exam ends.
Candidates have to carry the admit card of JEE Main 2025, address proof for JEE Mains along with all the other documents to the exam centre. Candidates who do not have the NTA JEE Mains hall ticket 2025 will not be permitted to take the exam under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent. Candidates are advised to duly fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the space provided before reaching the JEE Main exam centre.
Students appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 exam are advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam ends. Students are not allowed to enter the exam hall after the gate closing time and cannot leave the exam centre before the JEE Mains paper concludes.

NTA has not issued specific guidelines for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 dress code. However, students should wear simple clothing and avoid caps, scarves, accessories, electronic devices, jeans, or outfits with multiple pockets or metallic items, as these are prohibited in the exam hall.
Entry to the JEE Main shift 1 exam centre has begun at 7 am. Candidates with a valid JEE Main admit card 2025 downloaded from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, along with a government-issued photo ID, passport-size photograph, and self-declaration form are being allowed inside the exam venue.
The NTA will open entry to the JEE Main exam centre from 7 am for the morning shift.
