JEE Main 2025 session 2 provisional answer key expected on April 12; calculate probable scores

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 2 provisional answer key tomorrow, April 12. Once released, candidates will be able to download the provisional answer key through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA will also issue the JEE Main 2205 session 2 response sheet along with the answer key. The JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams were held on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

Once the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 provsional answer key 2025 is released, candidates can compare their responses to calculate their scores. However, if candidates find any responses provided in the NTA JEE Main 2025 answer key are incorrect, they can raise objections by providing valid proof in support of their claims.

How to calculate JEE Mains 2025 probable scores?

Candidates who appeared for the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 exam can calculate their estimated scores using the provisional answer key. As per the JEE Mains 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates can calculate their scores using the formula given below:

Probable Score = (Number of correct answers x 4) - (Number of incorrect answers)

How to challenge JEE Main 2025 answer key?

Once the provisional answer key is released, candidates will be allowed to raise their objections pay paying the required processing fee for each question. The steps to raise objections against the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 provisional answer key are as follows.

• Visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Click on the ‘Challenges JEE Mains answer key 2025’ link available.
• Log in using their application number and password.
• JEE Main provisional answer key will include the question ID as well as the ID with a correct option for both papers 1 and 2.
• In case of an error, candidates can challenge the question by selecting one or more IDs.
• Click on ‘Save your claim’ and click on the ‘Next’ button available.
• The challenged question ID will appear on the screen.
• Submit the necessary documents in support of their claim.
• Pay the processing fee for each question through credit card, debit card or net banking.

JEE Main is held every year for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses at top National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and other institutions.
