JEE Main 2026 session 2 correction window from Feb 27; NTA bars changes in 5 key fields

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Mains session 2 correction window on February 27 for candidates to edit their application forms. The JEE Main correction facility will remain open on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, till February 28 up to 11.50 pm.

The last date to submit the JEE Main 2026 session 2 application form is February 25. The correction window will be available for both categories of candidates – those who have registered for session 1 exams between October 31 and November 27 and also applied for session 2, and fresh candidates who applied only for session 2.

"The candidates are allowed to make the corrections, latest by 28 February 2026 (up to 11:50 РM). Thereafter, no correction in particular, whatsoever, will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances,” the NTA said.

Candidates are required to pay an additional fee arising out of changes made during the correction window through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.

JEE Mains Form 2026: Fields that cannot be edited

The NTA has barred candidates from editing the following five key fields.

  • Mobile number
  • E-mail address
  • Permanent and present address
  • Emergency contact details
  • Live or uploaded photograph.

The following fields can be edited by candidates applying for the JEE Mains session 2 exams 2026.

Fields that can be edited

Existing candidates i.e. candidates who are already registered during the registration period of JEE (Main) -2026 Session 1 (31 October to 27 November 2025) and who have also applied for Session 2 (01 February to 25 February 2026)

Candidates are allowed to edit or modify the following:

  • Course (Paper)
  • Medium of Question Paper
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Examination Cities as per the available options
  • Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12h)
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Fee Payment (if applicable)
  • Identity Details - Only for candidates who registered with identity other than Aadhaar.

For new candidates, who applied for Session 2 only during the period from February 1 to 25

Candidate shall be allowed to change any one of the fields:

  • Candidate Name or
  • Father's Name or
  • Mother's Name

Candidates shall be allowed to change/add all the following fields:

  • Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th)
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Sub-category/PwD (If not verified by UDID Portal)
  • Signature
  • Paper

Candidates shall be allowed to change the following based on their permanent and present addresses:

  • Exam city selection
  • Medium of the exam

Candidate shall be allowed to change identity details (Only for candidates who registered with identity other than Aadhaar):
