JNU extends ABVSME MBA application process deadline till March 12; apply on jnu.ac.in

JNU will conduct the admission of Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship MBA programme using the CAT 2023 score.

NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has extended the last date to apply for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME) MBA programme till March 12. Students can apply for the JNU ABVSME MBA programme on the official website, jnu.ac.in.

The JNU offers 75 seats for its MBA programme in the ABVSME. Candidates applying for the MBA programme will have to pay a non-refundable application fees of Rs 2,000. However, students belonging to the SC, ST and PwD categories will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000.

Selection criteria

Applicants seeking admission in the MBA programme should have cleared the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023). Each applicant applying for admission in the MBA programme will have to submit the CAT registration number and score. JNU will use CAT score for short-listing the applicants for group discussion and personal interview round. Based on the CAT score merit, the number of applicants shortlisted for GD and PI will be at least seven times the number of seats in each category.

The final list of selected candidates will be based on CAT score and marks obtained in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview with respective weightage as 70%, 10% and 20% of CAT score.

Foreign nationals applying for the MBA programme should have a minimum GMAT score of 500 marks and a bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility criteria

Students applying for the JNU ABVSME MBA programme should have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree awarded by a recognised university. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Categories-wise qualifying marks in bachelor’s degree

  • Students from General Category, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree is required.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results, can also apply for the MBA programme.
