NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Human Resources and Development has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2020 on June 11, through an e-release. As per the latest updated NIRF 2020 ranking data on the official website, nifindia.org, 118 medical colleges have participated to assess their NIRF ranking. Out of which JSS Medical College, Mysore managed to get rank 20 among top medical colleges of India by obtaining 54.32 scores out of 100. JSS Medical College is always among the top-notch medical colleges of India, as the previous year also it was placed at rank 17 by obtaining 50.58 overall scores.

The NIRF 2020 ranking for all medical institutes has been allotted on five parameters like peer perception, outreach, inclusivity, graduation outcomes, and teaching, learning resources.

UG (5-year program)

  • In the previous year’s for the academic year (2017-18), out of 187 students, 117 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 881000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies. Whereas for the academic year (2016-17), out of 140 students, 80 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 691000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies.

PG (2-year program)

  • For the academic year (2017-18), out of 39 students, 15 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 710000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies. Whereas for the academic year (2016-17), out of 36 students, 18 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 621000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies.

PG (3-year program)

  • For the academic year (2018-19), out of 148 students, 128 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 1320000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies. Whereas for the academic year (2017-18), out of 96 students, 89 students were placed with an average salary of Rs. 1251000 and the rest of them opted for higher studies.
