Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2026 LIVE: KSEAB chemistry, basic maths exams ends; paper analysis, answer key

The KSEAB will conduct the Karnataka 2nd PUC Chemistry and Basic Maths paper tomorrow, March 9, from 10 am to 1 pm.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will conduct the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam until March 17, while Exam 1 is scheduled to take place from April 25 to May 9. The Karnataka board conducts PUC examinations three times a year—in March, April–May, and June.

In a significant decision, the Karnataka government has reduced the minimum passing marks to 33% for students appearing in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC/Class 10) and second Pre-University Certificate (PUC/Class 12) examinations.

According to the revised rules for the Karnataka board exams 2026, SSLC students must score at least 206 marks out of 625 in total to pass. They may still qualify even if they obtain around 30 marks in one or two subjects, provided their overall score meets the required minimum.

Similarly, Class 12 (2nd PUC) students must secure a minimum of 198 marks out of 600 overall to be declared pass. Previously, the minimum passing requirement for these exams was 35%.

Karnataka lowers SSLC, 2nd PUC passing marks starting from 2025-26 session

According to students' reaction it is indicated that the Karnataka 2nd PUC Physics paper 2026 was generally moderate to easy in difficulty. Many reported that most questions were straightforward for students who had prepared well. However, a few numerical and conceptual problems required a deeper level of understanding. Overall, students described the paper as balanced and manageable within the allotted time.
