The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has concluded the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams 2026 for economics today. The examinations was conducted for a duration of three fours until 1 pm across various centres in the state.
Students were required to carry their Karnataka 2nd PUC hall ticket along with a valid government-issued ID for verification at the exam centres. Candidates had been advised to reach the centres at least one hour before the exam to complete entry formalities.
The Karnataka 2nd PUC economics analysis, along with question papers with solutions, will be accessible to students shortly, with which they can evaluate their performance. Though the board doesn't release any official paper analysis or answer key, private coaching centres, subject matter experts and educators share the unofficial answer key and paper analysis.
The paper pattern for the 2-year PUC economics exams was in the pattern below.

KSEAB will hold the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam till March 17, while the exam 1 will be conducted from April 25 to May 9. Karnataka board holds PUC exams thrice a year, in March, April-May, and June.
Additionally, differently-abled students will be given extra time to complete the exam. For instance, 60 minutes extra for a 3-hour question paper, 50 minutes for a 2-hour and 30-minute question paper, 40 minutes for a 2-hour question paper, 30 minutes for a 1-hour 30-minute paper.

In a significant decision, the Karnataka government has reduced the minimum passing marks to 33% for students appearing in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC/Class 10) and second Pre-University Certificate (PUC/Class 12) examinations.
According to the revised rules for the Karnataka board exams 2026, SSLC students must score at least 206 marks out of 625 in total to pass. They may still qualify even if they obtain around 30 marks in one or two subjects, provided their overall score meets the required minimum.
Similarly, Class 12 (2nd PUC) students must secure a minimum of 198 marks out of 600 overall to be declared pass. Previously, the minimum passing requirement for these exams was 35%.
