Karnataka NEET UG 2026 round 2 provisional seat allotment result out; 11,626 MBBS seats allotted

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the provisional round 2 seat allotment result for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test medical and dental admissions. A total of 11,626 MBBS seats have been provisionally alloted. KEA has prepared allotments on the basis of candidates’ merit and the options entered by them. Candidates who have been allotted seats through both the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and KEA counselling can exit the KEA counselling process if they wish to take admission to their MCC-allotted seat. Those who want to accept their seat allotted through the second round of MCC counselling can select choice-4 through the link provided on the KEA website. The choice filling facility will be available from 3 pm on September 11 to 5 pm on September 14. Candidates opting for Choice-4 will exit the KEA seat allotment process. The seats that become vacant after such candidates leave the KEA counselling process will subsequently be considered for re-allotment.

KEA to re-run round 2 seat allotment

The authority will re-run the round 2 seat allotment process after the Choice-4 window closes. The vacant medical and dental seats arising from candidates choosing their MCC-allotted seats will be included in this re-run.

The re-run will be conducted using the options already entered by candidates. KEA has clarified that candidates will not be allowed to make changes to their existing choices.

After the re-run, the authority will publish the revised final Round 2 allotment result. Candidates will also be considered for possible upgradation to higher-order options. However, it will be subject to availability of seats and the applicable allotment rules. The process is aimed at ensuring that seats vacated by candidates who opt for MCC-allotted seats can be offered to other eligible candidates in the same counselling round.
