Try NowNEW DELHI: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the postponement of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) due to COVID-19 pandemic in the state. The new dates for the entrance test will be announced later by the authorities through the official website or newspapers.
Previously, KCET 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on April 22 and 23 as a pen and paper based test. However, the examination has been postponed till further notice due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak. Similarly, the Kannada Language Test, which was to be held on April 24 has also been postponed.
Candidates were able to apply for KCET 2020 till March 16 and the correction facility was available till March 27. Since the examination has been postponed, there is a high chance that the admit card will not be released on their scheduled date i.e., April 10, 2020.
About KCET
KCET is conducted for B.Tech admissions into the participating institutes of the state. The entrance test consists of two papers - Mathematics and Physics & Chemistry.
