UP Board Exam 2026 LIVE: UPMSP 10th sewing, 12th civics exam starts; time table, marking scheme

As per UP board updates, more than 3.1 lakh students were absent for the Class 10th and 12 Hindi exam scheduled on Feb 18. Several students were caught cheating during the exam using unfair means. A total of 171321 students were absent in the first shift, while 142387 did not appear for other shifts. 

More than 3.1 lakh skip UP Board Exam 2026 on first day

UP board will conduct Class 10th social science exam tomorrow in morning shift. Class 10th exam will be held for Agriculture Engineering paper - IV, Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science paper IX for part 2 in morning shift and english exam in afternoon shift. 

UPMSP board will conduct shift 2 exam till 5:15 pm. Students will have access to unofficial answer keys shared by coaching centres and subject experts so that they can calculate their expected scores.

UP board 10th sewing, 12th civics exam will be held at 7,214 examination centers for 3,92,274  registered candidates.

As per reports, a 17-year-old student, Lakshmi Sen, allegedly died by suicide due to exam-related stress, police said. The girl was found hanging at her residence in Rampur Babuan village, said police. The family members said Lakshmi had been stressed for the past few days over the upcoming UP Board exams.

UP Board exams 2026 for the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm for the High School Sewing and Intermediate Civics paper at 7,214 examination centers.  A total of 2,139 high school candidates and 3,90,135 intermediate students will appear for the UP Board Feb 19 exam 2026. A total of 3,92,274 candidates are registered for this shift.

A total of 61,663 High School and 34,633 Intermediate candidates will appear in UP Board 2026 Feb 19 first shift.

As per the UP board updates, in the first shift, the 10th Computer and 12th Woodcraft, Book Craft, Sewing Craft, and Vocational Class examinations are being held at 3,005 exam centers across the state. A total of 96,296 candidates are registered.

The UP board has commenced the Class 10th computer and sewing subjects exam. Once the exam is over, students will have access to paper analysis and answer keys to evaluate their responses. 

UPMSP will hold the Class 10th computer and sewing exam today in a single shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am.

The ongoing UP Board examinations will run for nearly a month before concluding in mid-March.

A wide range of vocational trades including IT/ITES, banking, health care, retail, dairy technology and tourism will be held during the first shift.

The Computer subject will carry 100 marks, including 70 marks theory paper and 30 marks internal practical assessment evaluated by schools.

Candidates must carry signed hall ticket and valid photo ID to the centre.

UPMSP will conduct Class 10 Computer and Class 12 Civics exams tomorrow in two shifts across 8,033 centres.

Local authorities regulated vehicle movement around busy centres to prevent delays for students.

Authorities have kept first-aid kits and water facilities ready amid large turnout.

Security personnel stationed near identified centres to maintain law and order during entry and dispersal.

Local administration teams visited exam venues to ensure proper frisking and adherence to board guidelines.

Authorities arranged alternate seating and subject-wise rooms to maintain discipline and reduce malpractice chances.

The following measures have been implemented at examination centres:

• Surprise inspection teams will conduct unannounced visits to prevent unfair practices.

• Candidates must enter within the specified reporting time.

• Students arriving late will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.

• Question papers will be stored under strict security arrangements.

• CCTV surveillance will be installed at key centres.

The UP Board Class 10 board exam 2026 started from today and will be held until March 12. The UPMSP Class 10 exams 2026 will be held in two shifts. The day 1 exam was for Hindi subject.

UPMSP UP board 12th Hindi paper will get over at 5:15 pm. Once the exam is over, candidates will have access to the analysis and the question paper with solutions so that they can calculate their probable marks.

UPMSP will conduct the UP board 10th and 12 exams from February 18 to March 12 for more than 50 lakh students.

In the academic year 2024-25, Yash Pratap Singh topped the UP board Class 10th exams. The overall pass percentage for the exam was recorded as 90.11%.

UPMSP will conduct the Class 12th Hindi and General Hindi paper for over 24 lakh students at more than 7,000 exam centres, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

As per UP Board exam 2026 guidelines, at the exam center, no teacher or non-teaching staff or candidate shall keep any electronic device or mobile, and for them too, carrying mobiles into the exam room will be strictly prohibited.

Notably, under no circumstances should female candidates be searched by male invigilators or officers. Also, personnel shall remain in the exam center premises without an identity card, and appointed personnel shall remain only at their place of duty.

For the UP board exams 2026 all district school inspectors were asked to complete all the arrangements related to the examination on time and ensure that the room inspectors' details for each centre are available in the district control rooms. The officials directed verification of the room inspectors and their ID cards. Notably, flying squads have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance at exam centres.

UP board tightens security at centres ahead of Class 10, 12 exams 2026

As per the UPMSP updates, a total of 24,99,370 students registered for the Hindi Paper 2026 Class 12 UP Board exams. The board will conduct the Hindi and General Hindi exam across 7,998 centres for Class 12th students.

UPMSP board will hold Hindi papers today, scheduled in two shifts — the 10th exam from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the 12th exam from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Students who will arrive without their admit cards will be allowed to appear for UP Board Class 10 board exams on a temporary basis. However, they need to present their UP Board Exam 2026 admit card for the next exam. 

The UP Board will provide 20 minutes extra for students with disabilities to complete their Class 10 board papers.

The UPMSP Class 10 and 12 board exams will start tomorrow, February 18, across the state. The first paper is Hindi, to be conducted in two shifts for high school and intermediate students.

Students must reach their exam centres at least one hour early with a signed admit card and valid photo ID. Entry without these documents will not be permitted.

A state-level control room in Lucknow will monitor all 8,033 centres. Electronic devices, books and notes are banned inside the exam hall, and strict action will be taken against unfair means.
