Earlier, the authorities announced the KCET result 2022 on July 30 at kea.kar.nic.in/ karresults.nic.in. With the declaration of KCET 2022 result, the KEA informed that the qualifying marks of 2021 students were not considered while preparing ranking for the academic year 2021-2022, and the same is not considered for 2022-23 as well.

However, earlier in August, some students who passed the Pre-University Course (PUC) in 2020-21 but also appeared for KCET 202 approached the High Court for not considering the 2020-21 marks while preparing the KCET ranking 2022. Recently, the High Court of Karnataka directed the KEA to follow the formula suggested by a technical committee to redo CET rankings for this year. The formula will be applied to students who passed PU Second Year in 2020-21.
