The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) exam tomorrow, April 22, 2026 for the Kannada language. The exam will be held between 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The authority has released a notice regarding the prohibited items, dress code guidelines on the official website of KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

Applicants can also access the ph list of the candidates appearing for the UGCET-2026 examination official website.

As per the notice, candidates who use hearing aids or cochlear implants must report to the examination centre at least two hours before the exam begins. They are required to carry their UDID card and a valid medical certificate for verification. After a separate screening process, they will be permitted to appear for the examination with their assistive devices.

The KCET 2026 examination schedule begins with the Kannada Language Test on April 22, 2026, followed by the main exams on April 23 and April 24, 2026. As per the official timetable, on April 23, the morning session will be held for Physics from 10:30 am to 11:50 am, while the afternoon session will cover Chemistry from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. On April 24, Mathematics will be conducted in the morning session, followed by Biology in the afternoon session.

KCET Exam 2026: Prohibited items / devices

The authority has also listed several prohibited items that candidates cannot carry into the exam centre. These include study materials such as notes, books, calculators, and electronic pens, as well as communication devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth gadgets, earphones, and microphones. Items such as watches, wallets, bags, goggles, belts, and caps are also banned.

Additionally, food items, water bottles, and any concealed electronic devices like microchips or cameras are strictly not allowed. Candidates should note that there is no facility available at the exam centres to store these belongings.

KCET 2026: Dress code guidelines

Candidates appearing for the CET 2026 exam must follow a strict dress code at the examination centre. They are not allowed to wear full-sleeve clothing, and outfits covering the head, face, or ears are prohibited. However, those wearing religious attire can report two hours before the exam (8:30 AM or 12:30 PM) for separate verification. Jewellery or any metallic items, except a mangalsutra, are not permitted. Candidates are advised to wear slippers or low-heeled sandals, as shoes are not allowed inside the exam hall.
