The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 will be held on May 3. Maharashtra remains one of the top preferred states for medical studies in India. Aspirants aiming to study in Maharashtra can refer to NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling data from the state’s top 50 government, government-aided, and private colleges, which shows clear differences in admission trends. The opening and closing rank data show that government and aided colleges have very high competition across all categories, including General, OBC, EWS, and SEBC.

Private colleges, on the other hand, have a much wider range of ranks, which indicates that it is easier to get admission there compared to government colleges.
