NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has extended the last date to register for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2024. As per the official notice, candidates will now be able to fill out the KSET 2024 application by August 28 through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
“As per the directions of the Karnataka Government, a detailed notification was issued on 13.07.2024 regarding the Karnataka State Assistant Professor Eligibility Test-2024 (KSET-2026). The last date for submission of applications was initially set as 22.08.2024. However, due to requests from some candidates to extend the deadline, the last date for submission of applications has been extended,” the official notice read.
The KSET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on November 24. The KSET 2024 exam will be conducted in a single shift from 10 am to 1 pm, covering 41 subjects. The test will consist of two papers with multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 will include 50 questions, totalling 100 marks, while Paper 2 will have 100 questions, totalling 200 marks.
Candidates from the general category, CAT-2A, CAT-2B, CAT-3A, CAT-3B, and other state categories are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000, while those in the CAT-1, SC, ST, PwD, and transgender categories need to pay Rs 700. The last date for payment of the fee has been extended to August 30.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit for KSET 2024.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in the general category, and 50% marks for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Transgender, and Other Backward Classes (OBC), specifically Category-I, Category-IIA, Category-IIB, Category-IIIA, and Category-IIIB, in a Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSET, are eligible.
