The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has permitted candidates to modify their Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM) 2026 exam centres in Gulf countries in view of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. As per the official CEE announcement, several students who had opted for the UAE (Sharjah) as their test location are reportedly facing difficulties in travelling, prompting the authorities to provide relief.

To address this situation, CEE has introduced a one-time facility allowing candidates to change their allotted exam centres. As a result of this revision process, the release of the KEAM 2026 admit card has been postponed. The hall ticket, which was earlier scheduled for April 1, will now be issued on April 8.
The examination authority has also clarified that the deadline provided for making changes to exam centres is final and will not be extended under any circumstances. Candidates have been advised to complete the process within the given timeframe.

The CEE has specified the below categories of candidates who can opt for a change in their exam centre;
Candidates who had chosen UAE earlier can now opt for a centre in Kerala if they are currently in the state and unable to travel abroad.
Students who initially selected Kerala centres but are presently in Gulf countries can switch to a centre within the Gulf region.
Applicants who selected UAE as their exam location are allowed to change their centre to Kuwait.
Candidates with UAE as their chosen centre can also opt for Bahrain as an alternative location.
