Kerala KMAT 2024 registration deadline extends for MBA admission

NEW DELHI: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has extended the registration deadline for Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2024. Candidates who wish to appear for the Kerala Master of Business Administration (MBA) entrance exam will now be able to fill out the KMAT 2024 application form by June 10 through the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in.

Earlier the last date to apply for the Kerala KMAT 2024 was June 6. Candidates from general and socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 to register for the Kerala KMAT 2024. Candidates from the scheduled caste (SC) category are required to pay Rs 500 while scheduled tribe (ST) candidates are exempted from paying application fees.

The exam dates for the Kerala KMAT 2024 exam will soon be announced on the official website. The Kerala KMAT 2024 exam will be conducted online in a computer-based test format. The examination will last for 180 minutes and consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The total marks for the exam are 720. Candidates will get four marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Kerala KMAT 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the Kerala KMAT 2024 given below.

  • Nationality and Nativity: Both Indians and non-Indians are eligible to apply. However, only Keralite candidates are eligible for all types of reservations or fee concessions.

  • Age: There are no age restrictions.

  • Academic qualifications: Candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree of at least three years' duration in the fields of Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, or an equivalent field to meet the eligibility criteria for the course.

  • Candidates who are in their final year of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the admission process for KMAT 2024.

Candidates must have attained the minimum marks required for admission to the MBA course by the respective universities to which they wish to apply. As per the official notice, general and SEBC category candidates who secure a minimum of 10% of the total marks and SC, ST and persons with disabilities (PwD) candidates who secure a minimum of 7.5% will be eligible for admission to the MBA course offered by various universities, departments, and affiliated management colleges, including autonomous colleges in Kerala.
