The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has declared the provisional result of Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025. Candidates can check the KSET results 2025 on the official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. KSET 2025 was held on November 2 in a single session for the recruitment of assistant professors.
Of 1,34,826 candidates, 1,21,052 appeared for both the papers. The exam was held in offline mode for 33 subjects at 11 exam centres. A total of 8,383 candidates have passed the test.
Along with the KSET 2025 result, KEA has published the details of candidates, number of slots, subject-wise cut-offs, and more on the official website. The provisional scores of candidates along with the final answer keys were displayed on November 15. There were no changes in the answers of seven subjects. Aspirants were allowed to raise objections against the provisional KSET 2025 answer key by November 6.
KEA has prepared the KSET 2025 merit list based on the marks obtained by the candidates, according to the UGC formula and the state reservation policy.
Step 1: The number of candidates who qualify for the assistant professorship shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared for both the papers.
Step 2: The total number of slots are divided, and merit lists are prepared for each subject and category, using the combined aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the two papers.
Step 3: To qualify, a candidate must have appeared in both papers and secured at least 40% (120 out of 300 marks) in aggregate for general (Unreserved) category candidates. For those belonging to the reserved categories, the minimum aggregate marks are 35% (105 out of 300 marks).
