KTET 2026 registration reopens till June 5 at ktet.kerala.gov.in; how to apply

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has again opened the registration window for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2026 today, June 3, 2026. Now, the last date to register is June 5, 2026 until 5 pm. Applicants can submit the forms on the official portal of KTET at ktet.kerala.gov.in.

To pass the exam, candidates from the general category must secure at least 90 marks out of 150, equivalent to 60%. For candidates belonging to OBC, SC and ST categories, the minimum qualifying score is 82 marks (55%). Meanwhile, persons with disabilities are required to obtain at least 75 marks out of 150, or 50%, to pass the examination.

The KTET exam will be conducted on June 27 and June 28, 2026. This exam helps aspiring teachers obtain the eligibility certification required for appointments in schools across Kerala.

KTET Registration 2026: Steps to apply

To register for the KTET 2026 applicants can follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of KTET at ktet.kerala.gov.in
  • Finish the online application form with personal, academic, and category-related details
  • Upload the required documents, pay the applicable application fee online, and then submit
  • Download and keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference
  • Retain the payment receipt as proof of successful fee payment

KTET 2026 Exam: Admit Card

As per the schedule, the KTET 2026 hall ticket will be issued on June 16, 2026. Candidates can access and download their admit cards from the official KTET portal by entering their login credentials.

The hall ticket will serve as an essential document for the examination and will include details such as the candidate’s name, registration number, exam venue, test date and reporting time, along with important exam-day guidelines.

KTET 2026: Exam pattern

The KTET 2026 will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. The examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying a total of 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes for each paper. Candidates will receive one mark for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions.
