KVS admission dates 2026-27 out; Balvatika, Class 1 registration starts tomorrow, first list on April 8

KVS Admissions 2026-27: Parents can apply for Balvatika and Class 1 on the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in, by April 2. No application fee is required.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced the KVS admission schedule for the academic year 2026-27. Students and their parents will be able to apply for KVS admissions 2026-27 on the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in. The registration for Balvatika 1, 2, and 3 and Class 1 will begin tomorrow and close on April 2.

KV Sangathan will announce the first provisional results for Class 1 on April 8 and for Balvatika 1, 2, and 3 on April 9, as per the KVS online admission 2026-27 schedule.

For Class 1 KVS admissions 2026-27, out of the available seats of fresh admission, 25% shall be reserved for RTE, 15% shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% shall be reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 27% seats shall be reserved for OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL).

KVS Admissions 2026: Age criteria

As per the KVS admission eligibility criteria, the age for Balvatika 1, 2, and 3 will be 3 to 4 years, 4 to 5 years, and 5 to 6 years, respectively. The minimum age for admission in Class 1 will be 6 years. The age criteria for admission in KVS are shown below.

KVS admissions for Class 1 are based on an online lottery and category system, and Classes 2 to 8 are based on a priority category and an offline lottery system, with entrance or admission tests.
