LM Thapar School of Management hosts two-day cultural fest 'Kaladhara 2025'

NEW DELHI: The LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSM) has organised Kaladhara 2025, an inter-college academic and cultural fest, today. Themed at ‘Innovate, Inspire, Ignite’, the two-day event was hosted to bridge academic brilliance with artistic excellence, giving students a platform to shine, as per the official statement.

Around 170 students from 9 top institutions participated in the cultural fest to compete, collaborate, and celebrate innovation. “The festival was a whirlwind of energy, ideas, and electrifying performances,” the management institute said.

Satish Verma, economist and former professor at Punjab University, Patiala, was the chief guest at the cultural event where he shared his knowledge on economics and public policy. He also congratulated the winners of the event from Amity University, University Business School (UBS) Chandigarh, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) and Chandigarh University.

“Kaladhara 2025 was not just a competition—it was a celebration of talent, collaboration, and inspiration. The electric energy on campus, the camaraderie among students, and the spirit of innovation made this an unforgettable experience. With meticulously planned event coordination and an ever-supportive Kaladhara team, the festival set a new benchmark for inter-college fests,” the institute added.

Ajay Batish (deputy director, TIET Patiala), Seema Bawa (dean, outreach, TIET), and Sanjeev Bedi (University of Waterloo), along with Sarabjit Singh (SVIET) and Gurbinder Singh (Director, LMTSM), also took part in the event.

Kaladhara 2025: Day 1

Intellectually stimulated academic challenges such as War of Words debate and OP-Run business relay challenge where competition on tackling real-world business dilemmas were organised to test the students critical thinking, business acumen, and strategic problem-solving skills.

Other competitions hosted by the management school included:

  • Boardroom Battle: A corporate showdown evaluating leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Investment League: A finance challenge where aspiring investors showcased their market expertise.
  • Pitch Arena: An entrepreneurial showdown in a Shark Tank-style setting.
  • Case Study Competition: Analyzing complex business cases to propose groundbreaking solutions.
  • Business Quiz: A battle of business and economic knowledge.
  • Marketing Mavericks: A creative challenge in crafting compelling marketing strategies.

Day 2: Highlights

“The second day transformed LMTSM into a pulsating cultural hub, showcasing mesmerizing artistic performances,” the institute said. Other challenges such as singing competition, dance performances, beatboxing battles, fashion shows were also part of the cultural fest, it added.
