LSAT India 2020 result declared; Kolkata girl bags top spot

NEW DELHI: Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has declared the result of Law School Admission Test - India (LSAT) India 2020 on August 13. The result has been declared on the official website of LSAT India - discoverlaw.excelindia.com/LSAT.
To check their results, the candidate has to login to the result portal using their login credentials.

LSAT 2020 scores will be used for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by affiliated colleges. The online remote proctored exam was conducted from July 19-22 and 26.
Shailja Beria from Kolkata gets Rank 1
Kolkata girl, Shailja Beria has secured the first rank in the test. In a conversation with Careers360, the LSAT-India 2020 topper said that she is also planning to appear in CLAT 2020 which is scheduled for September 7. Among the LSAT participating institutes, Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat will be her first preference.
“Shailja scored 480 marks in LSAT-India, which is the highest score achievable in the exam,” said Rajneesh Singh, CLAT Mentor and founder of CLAT Essentials, who is also a teacher of the topper. The topper has also won scholarships worth Rs 4 lakh under LSAC’s scholarship scheme.
The scores of LSAT India are accepted by many private law colleges across the country such as Jindal Global Law School, JLU School of Law, Jagran Lakecity University, Alliance University, and others.
Pearson VUE, the conducting agency of LSAT India 2020, shares the scorecards of the candidates with the participating law schools, who use them to prepare merit lists for admission.
After the result declaration, the admission process becomes decentralized. Successful candidates have to separately apply for admission to their preferred law schools. Admissions to most law colleges are given on the basis of merit cum preference.
In other related news, Symbiosis International University (SIU) is also all set to release the result of the Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test (SLAT) today. SLAT scores 2020 will be used for admission to the four participating institutes of SIU: SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur.
