Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: 12.7 lakh students apply in round 1; final merit list on June 8

The Maharashtra School Education Board has closed the first round of registrations for the First-Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions 2025-26 today at 2 pm.
A total of 12,71,295 students have registered for Maharashtra's Class 11 centralised online admission process for the academic year 2025-26, Shriram Panzhade, principal of secondary and higher secondary education, said.
The Maharashtra School Education Board has closed the first round of registrations for the First-Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions 2025-26 today at 2 pm. The final round merit list will be released by the board on June 8.
The direct admission to the junior college will be conducted from June 9 to 11, 2025 and the list of the cap round will be announced on June 10.
“A total of 9,435 junior colleges or higher secondary schools in Maharashtra took part in the first round, where the total student admission capacity is 21,23,040. Out of which, the admission capacity for the cap round is 18,97,526 and the quota admission capacity is 2,25,514.

The Maharashtra board conducted the FYJC admissions 2025-26 round 1 from May 26 to June 5 up to 2 pm. In the initial process, around more than 12.5 lakh students deposited their registration fee and nearly 12.5 lakh completed the application part 1.
Furthermore, 11,29,932 students applied for the regular cap round, while 64,238 filled the form for the in-house quota. Around 32,721 students applied for the management quota and 47,578 registered for the minority quota, according to the official statement by the board.
