NEW DELHI: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will commence the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 board examination 2025 for over 15 lakh students from today, February 11. The board has imposed Section 144 at 3,373 exam centres situated across the state to prevent use of unfair means.

As per the Maharashtra HSC time table 2025, the exams for all streams will be held from February 11 to March 18. Two subjects namely information technology and general knowledge will be conducted online more between March 12 to 18, as per the date sheet.

Of the total 15 lakh students, 8,10,348 are boys, 6,94,652 are girls, and 37 are transgender. The Maharashtra board has imposed Section 144, which prohibits assembly of four or more people in the area. Xerox centres within 500 meters of the exam centre will be closed on the exam days, it said.

Students have been instructed to reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the scheduled exam time. The exam will be administered in two shifts - morning shift from 11 am to 2 pm and afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Students are required to be present in the exam hall at 10.30 for the first shift and 2.30 pm for the second shift.

They are required to carry the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 admit card and school ID to the exam hall.

Maharashtra HSC exam day guidelines 2025

Of the total students, 7,68,967 students will sit for science exam, 3,80,410 for arts, 3,19,439 for commerce stream. Additionally, 31,735 will appear in the minimum skill based course (Vocational course) and 4,486 will appear for the Technical Science (ITI) paper.

  • The Maharashtra HSC Class 12 exam centers will be monitored by the district administration through drone cameras in the sensitive examination center premises of the state.
  • Video recording will be done by the district administration outside the examination center.
  • With the help of government officers and employees of all departments in the district, flying squads and sitting squads will be made available at all examination centers to conduct copy-free exams.
  • The exam center directors and supervisors appointed by the district administration at the exam halls will be checked through the Facial Recognition System. Also, official identity cards will be issued to all coordinators through the divisional board.
  • According to the Maharashtra Prevention Of Malpractices Act 1982, using unfair means in the exam is a non-bailable offense.
  • Xerox centers within 500 meters of the exam centre will be closed and Section 144 will be imposed in the area near exam halls.
