Manipal Group’s American University of Antigua College of Medicine has opened admissions for Indian students for the September 2021 session.

NEW DELHI: The Manipal Group’s American University of Antigua, College of Medicine has started admissions for aspiring Indian medical students for Fall 2021 which starts in September. All the Class 12 students who wish to pursue a career in medicine and want to practice medicine in countries like India, the UK, the USA, or Canada can apply for the programme.
In order to support the deserving students, the university has announced scholarships of 96,500 US Dollars.
The candidates taking admission in the American University of Antigua will get a chance to study in several different countries such as India, Antigua, the UK, and the US, gaining extraordinary skills and experience, a statement from the institute said.

“The college is housed in a sprawling tech-savvy campus, set in the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean in Antigua and Barbuda,” the AUA statement said.
AUA College of Medicine awards the Doctor of Medicine degree after students complete a two and half year preclinical curriculum on its Antigua campus. This is followed by clinical rotations in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, or India at affiliated teaching hospitals.
Students may complete the first two years pre-medical programme at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in India or Antigua.
“We also provide students with the tools to become successful physicians who would otherwise be unable to receive a medical education,” the AUA statement said.

“In the 6.5-year course, students will be exposed to global healthcare systems across several countries,” the statement added.
The American University of Antigua (AUA) is a part of the Manipal Education and Medical Group in India.
