NEW DELHI: The modified version of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) has been introduced by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to PGDM and MBA programme. As per a press release by AIMA, MAT 2.0 will be introduced from May 2024.
This AIMA MAT 2.0 aims to cover new segments including current business and economic trends. The revised version of exam seeks to provide a new outlook on management education with industry standards and expanding educational mandates.
"We have received valuable feedback from numerous business schools and stakeholders, urging us to prioritize sections aligning with emerging trends. Consequently, we have made significant adjustments to both the exam questions and structure in consultation with our partner institutions. The advancing landscape of business, driven by the increasing influence of Fintech and technology, has necessitated a paradigm shift in our approach", Daljeet Singh, Director AIMA said.

"We are now placing greater emphasis on topics traditionally overlooked in management education, thereby equipping aspiring students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in today's dynamic business environment" Singh further added.
The AIMA MAT 2.0 include changes in exam structure, content focus, and duration. The changes include a streamlined exam structure comprising 150 questions to be attempted within 120 minutes.
