NEW DELHI: The major management entrance exams in India comprise CAT, XAT, SNAP, CMAT, IIFT, NMAT, ATMA, and others. Admission to MBA colleges in India is based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. Earlier admissions to MBA colleges were accepted based on merit scores. Nowadays, MBA admissions are given on the basis of management entrance exams scores and personal interviews (PI). CAT results 2021 were announced recently and almost every B-school in India accepts CAT scores for MBA admission. MBA Admission 2022-24: List of upcoming MBA entrance exams to apply

MBA entrance exam 2022: Overview

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2022) is a popular national-level management entrance exam for admissions to MBA/ PGDM courses. The MAT exam is conducted four to five times a year - February, May, July, September, and December.

MAT eligibility criteria 2022

• Academic qualification: Graduation/ Bachelor’s degree with 50% of aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD). Final-year students are also eligible to apply for MAT 2022.

• Age limit: There is no age restriction to apply for MAT.

• Work experience: Not mandatory

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT)

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a national-level entrance test conducted in a computer-based mode which is leading to MBA admission in top b-schools like NMIMS Mumbai, VIT Vellore, SPJIMR Mumbai, XIM Bhubaneswar, and many other MBA colleges in India.

NMAT eligibility criteria 2021

• Academic qualification: Graduation (10+2+3 pattern) or four years of education pattern from any stream with 50% of marks. Final-year students are also eligible to apply for the NMAT 2021.

• Age limit: There is no age bar to attempt the NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam.

• Work experience: Having prior work experience of two to three years is preferred.

• Maximum attempts: Three times which includes the ‘no shows’.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

CMAT is a national-level management entrance examination for admission to MBA Programme in the country. CMAT facilitates AICTE affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate students for admission to the MBA/ PGDM courses in such Institutions.

CMAT eligibility criteria 2022

• Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Final-year students are also eligible to apply for the CMAT.

• Age limit: There is no age limit to apply for CMAT 2022 exam.

NTA is expected to open the CMAT registration 2022 window soon.

AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA)

ATMA is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to MBA, PGDM courses. More than 500 MBA colleges across India accept ATMA scores for admission to their management programmes.

ATMA Eligibility criteria 2022

• Academic qualification: Graduation (10+2+3 scheme) from any recognized university with 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA. Final-year students are also eligible to apply for the ATMA 2022.

• Age limit: There is no age limit to apply for the ATMA test.
