NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified the eligibility criteria for the stray vacancy round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024 for both All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota seats. MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 stray vacancy round registration started today on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

The last date to apply for the MCC NEET PG stray vacancy round counselling 2024 is February 16, as per the revised schedule. Participants will be able to fill choices of courses and colleges between February 13 and 16. The seat allotment result will be announced on February 19, 2025.

According to the eligibility criteria for MCC and state NEET PG counselling, candidates who do not hold a seat in either of the quotas are eligible to participate in MCC counselling.

NEET PG qualified students who did not join the seats allotted to them in MCC NEET PG round 3 counselling 2024 are not eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round. However, ‘not reported’ candidates can apply for the state PG counselling process.

Even those aspirants who joined the state quota seats through previous rounds of counselling are not eligible to participate in the current round of PG counselling 2024 being conducted by MCC.

MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 rules

Warning NEET PG aspirants against leaving out seats, the central committee said that those who do not join the seats allotted to them in the stray vacancy round will have their security deposit forfeited and will be debarred from taking the entrance exam next year.

Further, MCC will share the data of round 3 joined candidates with the state counselling authorities, and all the listed candidates will be banned from taking admissions in the state quota counselling.
