NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun the registration process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) counselling round 1 today, September 20. Candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam can apply for the NEET PG counselling 2024 through the official website, mcc.nic.in.
“Candidates are hereby informed that the registration and payment facility for round-1 of PG counselling 2024 will start by 05:00 P.M of 20.09.2024. The detailed schedule of PG counselling 2024 will be updated soon. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) for further updates,” the MCC informed through the official notice.
To register for NEET PG counselling 2024, candidates will have to log in using their NEET PG roll number and password to update their basic details. After completing the counselling registration, candidates are required to pay the counselling fee and upload the necessary documents.
Candidates will then need to participate in the choice-filling process, selecting their preferred colleges and courses in order of preference. The NEET PG 2024 seat allotment result will be announced on the official website based on the candidate's rank, preferences, and availability of seats.
As per the official notice, the counselling for NEET (PG) 2023 has been completed, encompassing four rounds and a special stray vacancy round. Candidates who participated in these rounds and were allotted a seat but failed to report will be debarred from participating in PG counselling 2024. The committee has issued a list of PG 2023 candidates who were allotted seats in the stray vacancy round and special stray vacancy round but did not join the seats.
"Accordingly, the candidates mentioned in the list will be ineligible to participate in the counselling process of PG Counselling 2024. The candidates will be debarred before seat processing of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2024," the official notice read.

MCC will conduct counselling for the following institutions and universities:
50% of all India quota seats of all states (participation of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is subject to their contribution of seats).
100% seats (all India quota seats plus institutional quota seats) of central universities, including Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and other central institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in the important questions related to the scheme of counselling available on the MCC website.
100% seats of deemed universities.
50% of all India quota postgraduate seats of colleges under the employee state insurance corporation (forwards of ESIC insured persons).
All postgraduate seats of armed forces medical services institutions (only for the registration part).
Central institutes such as VMMC ans Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS and RML Hospital, and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur (50% all India quota seats and 50% seats of Indraprastha University).
