MCC announces NEET UG 2026 round 1 final allotment results; opt for online seat upgrade or resignation

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 allotment results today, August 24. Candidates who have been allotted seats in round 1 counselling can opt for either the ‘freeze or float' option. Those who opt for the freeze option, that is, ‘no upgradation ’, will have to visit the allotted institute for physical reporting.

Those who have not been allotted any seat will become eligible to participate in next round of UG counselling. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to the college by August 31.

NEET UG counselling 2026 allotment 'float option'

Candidates who have chosen the ‘float option’ and are willing to upgrade their seats will have to upload documents for online verification by the allotted institute. As per the MCC counselling revised rules, there is no need to visit the allotted institute physically.

Furthermore, MCC has introduced an online resignation facility for students who are willing to surrender the seat allotted. Candidates can submit seat resignation directly through the online MCC counselling facility within the prescribed deadline.
