MET 2026 phase 1, 2 exam dates out for UG, PG; submit applications by March 15

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has announced the exam schedule for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes. As per the announcement, the MET 2026 phase 1 exam will be conducted on April 13 and 14 in two slots.

For Phase 1, candidates can submit their MET 2026 applications by March 15, 2026, through the official website at manipal.edu/met. Online test slot booking will be available from March 31 to April 2, 2026. MET 2026 hall tickets can be downloaded between April 10 and April 13, 2026.

As per the institute, candidates can apply for a maximum of four programmes for UG courses and a maximum of two programmes for PG courses, depending on the schedule. The MET 2026 slot 1 exam will take place from 9 am and slot 2 from 2 pm.

Candidates applying for the Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programmes will have only one attempt for the MET 2026. The phase 1 test for these programmes is scheduled on April 14, 2026, during shift 2 only. No second attempt will be allowed, and candidates must ensure they complete their test within the scheduled slot.

MET 2026 Registration: Phase 2 exam dates

MET 2026 phase 2 provides candidates an opportunity for a second attempt with an additional payment of Rs 1,200. As per the official announcement, the online slot booking for MET 2026 phase 2 will be conducted from April 21 to April 25, 2026, for most programmes. The second attempt for BDes and BFA candidates is scheduled on May 24, 2026.

The institute announced that the online test booking is on a first-come, first-served basis and slots once booked cannot be changed. Candidates appearing for the exam will have to report to the allotted centre with a printed hall ticket and a valid photo identification. Photo and thumb impression will be captured at the centre as part of the registration process.
