More than 1.27 lakh students register for CUET 2022 in the first week: Report
The online facility to fill and submit CUET application form 2022 will be closed on May 6.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has received more than 1.27 lakh applications for CUET 2022 till the end of first week registration, as per the report by Hindustan Times . The CUET 2022 admission portal was launched on April 6. Candidates can fill and submit the CUET application form 2022 till May 6.
The report states that around 1,27,037 candidates have applied for the CUET 2022 in the first week of registration process. Most candidates who applied for CUET 2022 were from Uttar Pradesh (36,611), followed by Delhi (23,418), Bihar (12,275), Haryana (7,859), West Bengal (4,496), Madhya Pradesh (4,402) and Rajasthan (3,886).

In the southern states of India, the most number of CUET 2022 applications were received from Kerala (3,987), followed by Tamil Nadu (2,143), Telangana (1,807), Andhra Pradesh (1022) and Karnataka (901). Whereas among northeastern states, the highest number of applicants were from Assam (2,485) and Tripura (1,134).
The lowest number of applications belong to Lakshadweep (5), Daman and Diu (27), Goa (42), Sikkim (74) and Andaman and Nicobar Islands (84).
This year, 44 central universities and 18 other universities will be offering admission to their UG programmes through the CUET 2022 entrance exam.
The entrance exam of CUET 2022 will be conducted in two shifts in the first and second week of July. The CUET 2022 exam will be held in 13 languages in 547 cities within the country and in 13 cities outside of India. The question paper of CUET 2022 will consist of a language test, optional language test, domain-specific tests, and the general test.
