NBEMS diploma final theory exam 2023 registration begins; exam from December 15
NBEMS diploma theory exam dates are December 15, 16 and 17. Last date to apply at natboard.edu.in for the exit exam is October 25.

NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations Medical Science (NBEMS) has started the application process NBEMS diploma final theory examinations. The NBEMS diploma final exam registration link 2023 will be active from 3 PM today at the official website, natboard.edu.in.
NBEMS Diploma Final is an exit examination leading to the award of NBEMS Diploma qualification in respective disciplines.
As per the schedule, the exams will be held on December 15, 16, and 17 at various exam centres across the country. The last to apply for the diploma theory exams is October 25
NBEMS Diploma Theory Exam: Eligibility
The cut-off date for completion of NBEMS Diploma Training towards eligibility for NBEMS Diploma Final Examination - December 2023 is June 30, 2024.
- Candidates should have registered with the board as a NBEMS Diploma trainee.
- Their MBBS qualification should be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Candidates who have completed their NBEMS Diploma training while applying for NBEMS Diploma Final Examination will have to submit the Final Training Completion Certificate (FTCC).
- Candidates whose diploma training will have to submit Provisional Training Completion Certificate (PTCC) as per the format prescribed by the board.

The exams will be conducted for 3 hours between 2 PM to 5 PM. Here’s the schedule for the diploma theory exam.

Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 6,000 to appear in both theory and practicals.
NBEMS Diploma Final exam pattern
NBEMS Diploma Final is a two-stage examination comprising of theory and practical examination.
Theory exam
Only those candidates who qualify the theory examination will be eligible to appear for practical examination. Candidates who fail to qualify the written exam will be allowed to reappear for the theory exams. However, they will get only three attempts to clear practical examination.
- The theory examination comprises three papers carrying a maximum of 300 marks.
- There are 10 short notes of 10 marks each, in each of the papers.
- The number of short notes and their respective marks’ weightage may vary in some subjects.
- Candidates should score at least 150 marks in aggregate of 3 papers to qualify the theory examination.
- Grace marks of up to 2% of maximum marks i.e. 6/300 will be given only to the candidates falling in the zone of consideration i.e. securing between 144-149 marks out of 300, the board said.
Practical exam
- The NBE Diploma practical exam also carries 300 marks. It comprises OSCE and/or Clinical Examination, and Viva.
- Unlike theory paper, there is no provision for grace marks in practical examination.
