NCHMCT JEE 2026 counselling schedule out; registration begins June 1

The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has released the counselling schedule for NCHMCT JEE 2026 admissions to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (HHA) programme. Candidates who have passed the entrance examination can participate in the counselling process for admission to Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) across India. As per schedule, the counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds and will include registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, and institute reporting.

Registration and choice filling for the first round will begin on June 1 and continue till June 4, 2026. Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable counselling registration fee of Rs 2,000.

NCHMCT JEE 2026 counselling schedule

Students allotted seats in the final round will have to upload documents and complete verification between June 17 and June 19.

How to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2026 counselling

Candidates can apply for the counselling process online by following these steps:

  • Go to the official NCHMCT counselling portal
  • Complete candidate registration using the required credentials
  • Pay the non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 2,000
  • Fill and lock preferred IHM choices
  • Submit the counselling application form

After seat allotment, candidates will be required to upload documents, choose willingness options such as “Freeze” or “Float”, and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) of Rs 20,000. Students are advised to contact the respective Institute of Hotel Management before reporting to complete institute-specific formalities.

NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam details

NCHMCT JEE is a national-level undergraduate entrance examination conducted once a year in computer-based mode. The examination is held for admission to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration programme offered by 21 Central IHMs, 25 State IHMs, one PSU IHM, and several private affiliated institutes.

As per the official data, a total of 11,486 candidates registered for NCHMCT JEE 2026. The exam carried 800 marks, with four marks awarded for every correct answer and one mark deducted for each incorrect response.
