“The Quota within Quota covers government seats in private colleges too” said official sources reported Press Trust of India.
Tamil Nadu had earlier faced stiff from the opposition after it sought exemption from NEET-UG, including the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), citing the welfare of students, especially those from rural areas.
The Cabinet meet, chaired by Chief Minister, K Palaniswami at the Secretariat, also voted to grant instant approval to six companies that have proposed an estimated investment of Rs 5,000 crore to Tamil Nadu.
NEET 2020 Latest Updates
The latest update in NEET 2020 is that the authority has extended the last date to avail the application correction window facility to July 20. The correction window has been re-opened on July 4, after the HRD Minster, Ramesh Pokhiryal announced the postponement of the NEET exam to September 13, 2020.
NEET UG Upcoming Events
The next major event in NEET is the admit card, which is scheduled to be released on 15 days prior to the exam date. With 16.84 lakh registered candidates and the COVID-19 on the rise, NTA is set to conduct this only medical entrance exam. The SOP for NEET 2020 exam day has been drafted by the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) medical experts to take collective security measures.
