NEET 2021 notification to be out anytime soon: Reports

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and is likely to announce a new NEET 2021 exam date. However, the final decision on NEET 2021 application form date by NTA is yet to be taken and the ministry is still in the process of reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the country.

As per the NEET UG 2021 updates and India TV reports, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will announce the fresh NEET 2021 exam dates next week, and the detailed guidelines for conducting the medical entrance test.

The report further stated that NTA director Vineet Joshi also informed that the official NTA NEET 2021 notification can be released by next week.

Medical aspirants who are demanding clarity on NEET 2021 dates can now expect the updates on NEET 2021 by next week at nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic .

NEET 2021 exam date to be finalized

In its latest circular , NEET conducting authority mentioned that “The NTA is still in consultation with the concerned stakeholders for finalizing a suitable date for conducting NEET (UG)-2021, keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”

The authority has also requested “all the aspiring candidates/parents and guardians and other stakeholders to be aware of such unauthorized/fake public notice released from unknown sources and to rely on the official websites - nta.ac.in and ntaneet.nic.in”.

NEET 2021 is likely to be held in September

A PTI report said, The National Testing Agency (NTA) is mulling over conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in September. However, according to the last notification released, the NTA is scheduled to conduct the NEET 2021 exam on August 1 in pen and paper-based format.

Along with the declaration of the NEET exam date, the authorities are expected to announce the NEET 2021 application form release date. The NEET 2021 application form date by NTA will be available on the new official website - neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET is conducted for admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc and AH seats across India. From last year, the admission to 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER medical seats is also done through NEET entrance exam.
