NEW DELHI: Maharashtra, which has the second highest number of government medical colleges after Tamil Nadu , offers admission into MBBS courses based on the rank obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG 2025). The lowest cut-off for MBBS in Maharashtra government medical college was recorded last year.

Maharashtra has 32 government medical colleges and 36 private medical colleges offering 5,125 and 5,720 MBBS seats respectively. These colleges fill seats through 15% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and 85% state quota.
As per previous year’s cut-offs, general category candidates with 720-162 score in NEET will be eligible for Maharashtra MBBS admission. The Maharashtra NEET cut-off for OBC, SC, ST categories is 161-127.
This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it will conduct the single-largest medical entrance exam on May 4 in pen-paper format. The NEET UG exam city intimation slip 2025 will be issued on April 26. The total marks for NEET is 720.
