MCC NEET Counselling 2026: The registration for round 1 will be held from August 4 to 17 for admission to MBBS and other UG medical courses under the All India Quota (AIQ). Updates on allotment, NRI quota, cut-offs.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the registration for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 counselling tomorrow, August 4. Medical aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS and AYUSH Nursing programmes will be able to register for the MCC NEET counselling through the official website at mcc.nic.in.
The MCC NEET UG 2026 counselling registration for round 1 will be conducted from August 4 to 17 for admission to MBBS and other UG medical courses under the All India Quota (AIQ).
According to the MCC counselling schedule, the second round of AIQ counselling for MBBS admissions at deemed and central universities will be held from August 24 to September 2.
The third round will be conducted from September 10 to 18, and the academic session for the 2026-27 batch will begin on September 8.
To simplify the MBBS counselling registration process, the medical council has released a series of video tutorials in Hindi, and English languages.
The video tutorial provides step-wise guidance on MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 registration, choice filling, documents required, seat allotment and the eligibility for NRI quota.
“Candidates are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the counselling workflow to avoid errors during registration and subsequent stages,” MCC said in an official notice.
The MCC has made some changes in the NEET UG 2026 counselling process, including the discontinuation of the mandatory physical reporting for candidates opting for seat upgrade and allowing online resignation from allotted seats.
Furthermore, the committee has also introduced an online resignation facility, through which candidates will be able to submit resignation from their allotted seat through the MCC counselling portal.
MBBS aspirants can check the steps given below to register for the MCC NEET UG 2026 counselling round 1.
In addition, the MCC has also increased the reservation of seats under the PH category from 3% to 5%.
The MCC counselling will be held for 50% All India Quota seats of all states, 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of central universities such as Aligarh Muslim University (AMU, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), University of Delhi (UoD), 100% seats of deemed universities, 50% AIQ PG seats of colleges under employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
