NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the answer key for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 soon for over 24 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam held on May 5. NEET answer key 2024 will be released on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ and neet.ntaonline.in.

The entrance exam was held in pen and paper mode from 2 pm to 5:20 pm in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities outside India. NEET UG 2024 scores will be used for admission to MBBS, BDS programmes in medical and dental colleges across the country.

Upon release of the NEET UG answer key 2024, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores. Those who find discrepancies in the provisional key will get the opportunity to raise objections against it by paying the requisite amount.

The subject experts will examine the challenges submitted by candidates and make changes in all the answers, if found correct. A final answer key of NEET 2024 will be issued then based on which NEET result 2024 will be declared.

NEET UG 2024 marking scheme

The NEET 2024 question paper carried a total of 720 marks. Questions were asked from physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. Each subject had two sections – section A for 35 marks and section B for 15 marks.

Candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Students won’t get any marks for unanswered questions.
