NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examination in Medical Science (NBEMS) has postponed the NEET MDS 2024. As per the new notification; the NBEMS will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2024) on March 18. Candidates can get the official notification on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
Earlier, the NBEMS had scheduled to conduct the NEET MDS on February 9. As per the new notification, the cut-off date for eligibility to appear in the exam is March 31. The NEET MDS 2024 is being held for admission for 6,228 MDS seats in 259 dental colleges across India. The students exam syllabus will include 17 topics covered in the Bachelors of Dental Surgery programme. The NEET MDS 2024 entrance exam will have two sections – Parts A and B consisting of 100 and 140 questions, respectively.
For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded four marks while one mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
Candidates applying for the NEET MDS 2024 should be Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs). They should possess a BDS degree and a provisional or permanent registration certification issued by Dental Council of India or State Dental Council (SDC). The candidates should have also completed or are likely to complete the 12 months rotatory internship on or before June 30, 2024.

The NEET MDS will have 240 multiple -choice questions (MCQs), which the candidates will have to attempt in three hours.
