NEW DELHI: Putting an end to all speculations, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has confirmed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) will be held on the specified date. NEET PG 2021 will be conducted April 18. With the sudden rise in COVID cases, aspirants are requesting NBE to postpone NEET PG 2021. NBE has released NEET PG admit card 2021 from April 13 for registered candidates. The admit card must be downloaded and should be carried at the exam centre with other relevant documents.

Candidates took to Twitter using #postponeneetpg campaign requesting authorities to postpone NEET PG 2021. However, as per the directions of the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW), NBE has confirmed that NEET PG 2021 exam will be held on the scheduled date. NEET PG 2021 will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Candidates will have to answer 200 multiple-choice questions within 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The notice by NBE said as per the directions of MoHFW the NEET PG exam will be conducted as scheduled on April 18. The notice read, “The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt of India vide its letter no. V.11025/215/2020-MEP(FTS-8079808) dated 13.04.2021 has directed that NEET-PG examination may be conducted as per the schedule following all the precautions and complying with all the SOPs issued by the ministry regarding conduct of examinations”
NBE has issued the NEET PG admit card to eligible and registered applicants. The issuance of NEET PG admit card 2021 will be completed latest by April 15. Students can download the NEET PG hall ticket till the day of the exam. To download NEET PG admit card 2021 candidates will have to login using their user ID and password. Along with the NEET PG 2021 admit card, NBE has issued a COVID e-pass to candidates. The COVID e-pass is issued for assistance in the movement of candidates on the exam day amidst travel restrictions. The NEET PG COVID e-pass is valid from April 17 to April 19, 2021.
NBE earlier released a notice on COVID advisory to be followed on NEET PG exam day. Students must follow the instructions mentioned below on NEET PG 2021 exam date.
Staggered entry to NEET PG exam centre: Students must enter and exit the NEET PG 2021 exam centre in a staggered manner. Students will be notified of their time slot for reporting via SMS and email. Candidates should report as per the time slot.
Face mask: Students will be given a COVID safety kit containing a face mask, shield and sanitiser. Students should wear the face mask and shield at all times at the NEET PG exam centre 2021.
Carry important documents: Students should remember to carry the NEET PG admit card 2021, a valid id proof, passport size photograph, NMC registration certificate, and the FMGE pass certificate on the day of NEET PG exam.
Banned items: Candidates should ensure that they do not carry any of the prohibited items to the exam centre on NEET PG 2021 exam day. Except for mandatory documents students are not allowed to carry anything else inside the NEET PG exam centre 2021. Banned items include but are not limited to stationery items, electronic devices, eatables, bags, jewellery, accessories, and watches.
