Download nowNEW DELHI: The plea seeking postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2022) scheduled to be held on May 21. is filed in the Supreme court. The petitioners pointed out the insufficient gap between NEET PG 2021 Counselling and the PG medical entrance exam.
Also, the letter expressed concern about not having enough time to prepare for the NEET PG 2022 exam since the NEET PG 2021 counselling is still ongoing. In a letter addressed to the officials, the NBE stated, "If NEET PG exam 2022 takes place on the scheduled date, we will have no choice but to surrender our medical degrees."

The bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud will be hearing the matter post 10.30 am today. “The plea to postpone #NEETPG2022 is listed as item 17 before the bench of Justice DY Chandrachud,” the Live Law reported.
The All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) on May 4 moved the Supreme Court of India to defer the NEET PG 2022 exam by 8 to 10 weeks. A large section of students have also been demanding for the postponement on Twitter and other social media citing that the clash between the NEET PG 2021 Counselling and NEET PG 2022 exam will make nearly 5,000 aspirants ineligible. The doctors and students association have also written letters to President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard.

Earlier laso, the National Board of examination (NBE) had postponed the NEET PG exam from March 12 to May 21 .
